High-Throughput Characterization and Validation of Reagent Antibody Tools for Neurexin-Neuroligin Receptor Families

Introduction and Background

The Institute for Protein Innovation (IPI) is a non-profit research organization that provides high-quality synthetic antibodies that enable the exploration of critical protein interactions in biological systems. As part of its mission to empower the scientific community with well validated antibody reagents, IPI has expanded its neuroscience antibody portfolio to target Neurexin (NRXN) and Neuroligin (NLGN) proteins—key synaptic adhesion molecules that shape neural connectivity and function. Using high-throughput surface plasmon resonance (SPR), application-based validation assays, and cross-reactivity screening, we systematically characterized a panel of well-characterized antibodies targeting NRXN and NLGN family members. This poster presents an integrated framework for Neurexin–Neuroligin antibody validation, ensuring specificity, reproducibility, and broad applicability in synaptic biology research.
