0:00:00.6 Speaker 1: A local biotech company has been selected to help find a way to stave off, perhaps even defeat COVID-19 nationally. Carterra was selected by the La Jolla Institute of Immunology to screen hundreds of antibodies using their proprietary technology. Traditional methods would only allow for six to eight antibodies to be screened at a time.
0:00:22.2 Speaker 2: There are two really important things that will fight against COVID-19. One is therapeutics, drugs that can help people who get sick, or drugs that can help people not stay sick very long and then there are also vaccines that can help people from never getting the virus. We're privileged to be a part of this consortium which will be helping to find a therapeutic and even a cocktail of multiple antibodies that work against COVID-19.
